01. Michael.
The Chief of the heavenly hosts.
Michael in iconography usually tramples the devil underfoot, and in his left hand holds a green date-tree branch, and in his right hand a spear with a white banner on which is outlined a scarlet cross, or sometimes a fiery sword.
Archangel Michael or Saint Michael appears in the New Testament, the Tanakh (Jewish scriptures), and the Quran.




02. Gabriel.
The strength or power of God, herald and servitor of Divine omnipotence. He announces the mysteries of God.
Gabriel in iconography is usually seen with a branch from Paradise, presented by him to the Most Holy Virgin, or with a shining lantern in his right hand and with a mirror made of jasper in his left.
Archangel Michael appears in the New Testament, the Tanakh (Jewish scriptures), and the Quran.




03. Raphael.
Raphael offers the healing of God and is the curer of human infirmities.
Raphael in iconography holds a vessel with healing medications in his left hand, and with his right hand sometimes leads Tobias, carrying a fish for healing (a reference from the book of Tobit (or early 2nd century BC Jewish work describing how God tests the faithful).
Raphael the archangel is mentioned in the Old Testament, the Book of Enoch and the Quran.




04. Uriel.
Uriel the archangel is the fire or light of God, the enlightener. We pray for him to enlighten those with darkened minds.
Uriel in iconography has in his raised right hand a naked sword at the level of his chest, and in his lowered left hand sometimes a fiery flame.
Uriel is mentioned throughout the Book of Enoch an ancient Hebrew apocalyptic religious text.




05. Selaphiel (Salathiel).
The prayer of God, impelling to prayer. He prays to God for mankind.
Selaphiel in iconography holds a prayerful posture, gazing downwards, hands folded on the chest.




06. Jegudiel (Jehudiel).
The glorifying of God, encouraging exertion for the glory of the Lord and interceding for the reward of efforts.
Jehudiel in iconography holds a golden crown in his right hand, in his left, a whip of three red (or black) thongs.




07. Barachiel.
The distributor of the blessings of God for good deeds, entreats the mercy of God for people.
Barachiel in iconography is shown with a white rose on his breast.
